Algerian Minister of State, FM, holds bilateral talks in ADF

ANTALYA – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Saturday with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Mohammad Mustafa, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

On this occasion, the two sides discussed the grave developments surrounding the Palestinian cause amid the ongoing brutal war waged by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as its escalating policies in Al-Quds Al-Sharif and the West Bank, the source said.

According to the statement, the meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm Algeria’s unwavering support and solidarity with the Palestinian people on all levels, highlighting its continued coordination with the Palestinian side on the necessary steps to be taken at the United Nations Security Council in response to the existential threats facing the Palestinian cause and its closely linked national project.

Separately, the Algerian minister held other bilateral talks with his counterparts from Sudan, Venezuela, Yemen, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the source added.

Minister Attaf held talks with the Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef Ahmed. Accordingly, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the ongoing developments in Sudan and to reaffirm the crucial role of Algeria within the UN Security Council in supporting Sudan’s security and stability, as well as in safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Additionally, Ahmed Attaf held bilateral talks with Yván Eduardo Gil Pinto, Minister of International Relations of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The meeting offered an opportunity to assess the progress made in advancing several key bilateral cooperation initiatives, which have garnered special attention from the Presidents of both countries. Furthermore, they exchanged views and analyses on various international and regional issues of shared interest.

During his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, Shaya Mohsin Zindani, the Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, reviewed the latest developments in Yemen and explored ways in which Algeria, through its role in the UN Security Council, can contribute to advancing efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis the country is facing.

In his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, Minister Attaf discussed ways to develop bilateral relations, particularly in the economic field, by working to create conditions that would facilitate interaction between business professionals and entrepreneurs in both countries.
