Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion receives a number of African Trade Ministers

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received at the International Conference Center “Abdelatif Rahal” in Algiers, a number of African ministers in charge of trade to discuss ways to strengthen and develop intra-continental trade.

These meetings were held on Friday evening, on the sidelines of the ministerial roundtable organized under the theme “Intra-African Trade: From Vision to Reality Towards Doubling Trade Exchanges by 2030.”

In this context, Rezig received the Ministers of Trade from Chad, Burundi, Uganda, and the Central African Republic.

Before the roundtable meeting, he had also received the Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, as well as the Mauritanian Minister of Trade and Tourism.

These meetings “fall within the framework of implementing the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, particularly in his opening speech at the Intra-African Trade Fair, aimed at intensifying cooperation and working on its development,” Rezig told Algeria Press Service (APS).

Moreover, the meetings aim to “explore ways to promote and strengthen bilateral trade, especially given that Algerian products are highly regarded for their quality and variety,” he added.
