Algerian and French Foreign Ministers Engage in Talks

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held talks on Sunday with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot.

The talks were held at the headquarters of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the official visit by the French Foreign Minister to Algeria, at the invitation of Minister Ahmed Attaf.

The Algerian and French ministers had a phone conversation last Thursday, during which they discussed the key issues that Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Emmanuel Macron had directed to be given special attention. This was part of a broader effort to resolve the disputes that have recently disrupted the natural course of Algerian-French relations, according to the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
