Algeria-Tunisia: Shared focus on regional stability and future cooperation

ALGIERS – Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali Nafti, said on Sunday that his country maintains relations of fraternity with Algeria, noting that the two countries share a joint willingness to build a future based on mutual interests while preserving the security and stability in the region.
“I conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of his brother, President Kaïs Saïed, and I renewed his congratulations on the occasion of his re-election for a second term, wishing him full success and progress and prosperity for the brotherly Algerian people,” said the Tunisian minister following his meeting with the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Tunisian FM further informed the President of Algeria about the content of his meeting with the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, during which, he said, “they discussed the development of relations based on common and mutual interests, including the stability and security of the region.”
Moreover, the Tunisian minister said that he had the opportunity “to benefit from the orientations of the President of the Republic regarding the preservation of historical relations between the two countries, based on joint efforts with President Kaïs Saïed and their shared vision to strengthen the pillars of security and stability in our region, while aspiring to a better future for our peoples.”
“I listened attentively to the President of the Republic’s directions regarding the solidarity that has always defined the relationship between our two countries,” he concluded.
