
CAIRO- Algerian President ,Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Sunday in Cairo that Algeria spares no effort within the UN Security Council to end the genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement to the press with President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, the Algerian President praised “the resilience of the people of Gaza against the genocide committed by the Zionist occupier.”
The President also commended President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi’s initiative for “a truce to allow the necessary aid to reach the people of Gaza, pending a final solution that would allow Palestinians to regain control of their territories.”
“Algeria spares no effort within the UN Security Council to end the genocide against Palestinians,” reiterated the President.
“Our position has never changed and will never change, as the fundamental solution remains the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
Addressing the situation in Libya, Tebboune reiterated Algeria’s unwavering position in favor of an “inter-Libyan solution” through elections.
Regarding the situation in Sudan, the President expressed “his deep regret over what is happening between Sudanese brothers,” recalling that Algeria and Egypt remain committed to supporting peaceful resolutions.
