On behalf of President Tebboune, Boughali expressed Algeria’s determination to further enhance cooperation with Venezuela in multiple fields. He highlighted Algeria’s full readiness to strengthen trade relations, particularly in light of the economic reforms initiated by President Tebboune, aimed at diversifying exports and encouraging investment. This is supported by the legal frameworks between the two countries, especially in sectors such as energy, agriculture, transport, and tourism.

Additionally, Boughali shed light on the historical significance of the relations between the two countries and discussed international issues of mutual interest. He praised Venezuela’s unwavering support for just causes, notably the Palestinian and Sahrawi issues.

In response, President Maduro expressed his gratitude to President Tebboune for Algeria’s high-level participation in the event, praising Algeria’s rich revolutionary history. Moreover, he emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation among Global South countries to promote peace and combat new forms of colonialism through economic policies that uphold the dignity and sovereignty of nations.
