
On Monday, Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a phone call from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. During the call, Sheikh Mohammed extended his congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, as stated in a communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic.
“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call today from his brother, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirati President, who conveyed his Eid al-Fitr wishes and expressed hopes for progress and prosperity for the Algerian people,” the statement read.
In response, “the President of the Republic sent his Eid greetings to the Emirati President, wishing well-being to the brotherly people of the UAE.”
“The two Presidents agreed to meet at the earliest opportunity,” the communiqué concluded.
