Algeria partakes, in Vienna, at UN meetings on fight against corruption, asset recovery

Algeria, represented by the HightAuthority for Transparency and the Fight Against Corruption ( HATPLC), takes part as of Monday, in Vienna, at several UN meetings on the fight against corruption and asset recovery, scheduled to take place in Vienna (Austria).

 “The High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and the Fight against Corruption is participating, from September 1 to 5, in the sessions resuming the 16th session of the Implementation Review Group of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, the 19th session of the open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Asset Recovery, and the 14th open-ended Intergovernmental Meeting of Experts for strengthening international cooperation, which are being held at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna (Austria),” according to the same source.

In addition to representatives from the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and the Fight against Corruption, the Algerian delegation includes representatives from the Ministry of Justice and the National Gendarmerie Command.

During these sessions, the States parties will continue “discussions concerning the next step of the Mechanism for the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption,” concluded the source.
