Algeria-Italy Meeting Centers on Innovative Ecosystem Development

The matter of developing the necessary capacities to establish innovative ecosystems and promoting a joint approach in the field of micro-enterprises were the main topics discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, and a delegation from the “Parthenope University of Studies” in Naples, Italy, led by Professor Antonio Garofalo, the university rector, according to a communiqué from the ministry on Wednesday.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the public accelerator “Algeria Venture”, in the presence of Italy’s Ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, during which presentations were delivered by officials from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy on the startup ecosystem, as well as on mechanisms for promoting entrepreneurship, such as the National Entrepreneurship Support And Development Agency (NESDA), the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit (ANGEM), and the National Agency for Auto-Entrepreneurs (ANAE).

The ministry explained that the visit, part of Algerian-Italian cooperation on “Developing Entrepreneurial Skills in Algeria,” provided an opportunity for professors from “Parthenope University of Studies” to present programs aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial capacities at universities and explore avenues for collaboration to achieve sustainable development.

The ministry added that this initiative represents an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
