Algeria and Azerbaijan Reaffirm Commitment to Political Consultation and Mutual Coordination

ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Tuesday the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yalchin Rafiyev, who is on an official visit to Algeria, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

This visit takes place within the framework of the second round of political consultations between the two countries, which was co-chaired by the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister and the Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lounès Magramane, the source said.

During today’s meeting, the outcomes of the political consultations between the two countries were reviewed, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the agreed-upon roadmap to further strengthen Algerian-Azerbaijani relations, the statement said, adding that both parties also reiterated their dedication to the tradition of political consultation and mutual coordination within various international and regional organizations and forums of common membership.
