Air Algerie : New Direct Services to Several Destinations in Africa, Asia Next Winter

ALGIERS- Air Algerie will launch new direct services to several destinations in Africa and Asia next winter, an official from the national airline said.
“The reception of new aircraft will allow the airline to launch new services during the winter of 2025-2026, mainly long-haul flights, such as Algiers-Guangzhou (China) and Algiers-Kuala Lampur (Malaysia),” Hosnia Kaoua, the airline’s director of Marketing, told APS.
Concerning African destinations, Kaoua mentioned Algiers-N’Djamena (Chad), Algiers-Zanzibar (Tanzania), Algiers-Libreville (Gabon), in addition to the resumption of Algiers-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) flight.
The number of weekly flights of the newly-opened service Algiers-Abuja (Nigeria) will also be increased, to strengthen the presence of the airline in West Africa.
The aim is to “connect Africa to Air Algerie’s Europe, America, Asia and Middle-East network with direct flights as much as possible,” and make the Airport of Algiers a genuine hub for international air traffic, she said.
Air Algerie will receive 16 aircraft, to be delivered gradually withing the coming months, to strengthen its fleet and meet demand.
