
The President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Benedict Oramah, visited the Exhibition Palace (Pins Maritimes – Algiers) on Wednesday to review the final preparations for the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair.
During his tour, Oramah inspected the various organizational and logistical arrangements put in place to ensure the success of this major continental economic event, which is scheduled to open tomorrow, Thursday. The Exhibition Palace is witnessing intensive activity, with preparations in the exhibition pavilions and accompanying spaces reaching their final stage.
The Intra-African Trade Fair is organized by Afreximbank, which launched the initiative in 2018, in cooperation with the African Union Commission and the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), along with Algeria, which is hosting this edition under the theme “Gateway to New Opportunities.” The 4th edition will feature delegations from 140 countries and more than 2,000 companies from Africa and beyond, including around 200 Algerian enterprises, with an expected 35,000 professional visitors and trade and investment agreements exceeding $44 billion.
