Tebboune co-chairs with Rwandan counterpart signing ceremony of agreements, MoUs

ALGIERS — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, co-chaired Tuesday with his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, the signing ceremony of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering various areas of bilateral cooperation.

These MoUs and agreements, signed on the occasion of the official visit of the Rwandan president to Algeria, cover telecommunications, entrepreneurship, innovation, digital communication, investment promotion, pharmaceuticals, vocational training and communications sectors.

The agreements also cover the sectors of agriculture and livestock, higher education, scientific research and innovation technology development, as well as air transport services, judicial and police cooperation and visa exemption for diplomatic and service passport holders.

The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, following bilateral discussions between the presidents of the two countries.

The Rwandan president had earlier begun a two-day official visit to Algeria at the invitation of President Tebboune.
