Sonelgaz and Bosch Agree to Form Joint Working Group to Explore Cooperation Opportunities

ALGIERS, February 11, 2025 – On Tuesday, the Algerian power company Sonelgaz group hosted a delegation of executives from the German company Bosch. Both parties reached an agreement to establish a joint working group aimed at exploring cooperation opportunities, as announced publicly.
The meeting featured Sonelgaz’s CEO, Mourad Adjal, alongside the German delegation led by Markus Thill, CEO of Bosch Africa. This gathering provided an opportunity for both sides to express their commitment to establishing a productive and serious partnership between the Algerian group and Bosch, a leader in various sectors including power tools, home appliances, industrial technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Held at the group’s headquarters, the meeting included several key executives and Blank Oliver, General Director of the Algerian-German Chamber of Commerce. Adjal emphasized Sonelgaz’s interest in collaborating with Bosch in areas that could enhance the public group’s performance and technological capabilities.
He further noted, “Sonelgaz has strategic partnerships with major international economic operators and is now open to collaboration with the German group based on a win-win partnership principle.”
Highlighting Bosch’s expertise, particularly in AI and modern technological solutions, Oliver expressed the company’s readiness to cooperate with Sonelgaz by transferring its extensive knowledge and innovative practices across various domains, especially advanced industrial technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to form a joint working group tasked with exploring potential cooperation opportunities by assessing their respective areas of expertise and developing a practical partnership approach aligned with Sonelgaz’s competencies, according to the announcement.
