Russia: More than 50 satellites to be launched soon by a Soyuz rocket

Russia’s Soyuz-2.1b rocket will place 52 satellites into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, located in the Amur region in eastern Russia, during the final launch of 2025, the Russian space agency Roscosmos announced on Thursday.
“Fifty-two satellites will be launched by the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle from the Vostochny Cosmodrome,” Roscosmos said on social media.
The satellites to be placed into orbit are designed for stereoscopic Earth imaging.
The rocket will also carry several satellites built by students from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Moscow Aviation Institute, Far Eastern Federal University, and Amur State University, the statement added.
The launch is scheduled for later this week.
