Peace, Security in Africa: Algeria urges “Oran Process” to shape African solutions to continent’s challenges

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, called on Monday for the “Oran Process” to be an opportunity to redouble efforts to reach African solutions to African problems.

Speaking at the opening of the 12th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, which he started with conveying the greetings of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who supports this process, pays close attention to it, and is keen to ensure its sustainability and consolidation, Attaf called for this edition to be an opportunity to reiterate the commitment to speak with one voice about Africa’s priorities in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), and in various international multilateral forums.

Attaf also called for this seminar to be an opportunity for the participants to “reaffirm their pledge to end Africa’s marginalization in various international decision-making forums and centers.
