Oil Prices Dip While European Gas Prices Continue to Rise

Oil prices experienced a slight decline on Wednesday, reversing some of the gains made on Tuesday, while European gas prices continued to rise.

In the morning, the price of North Sea Brent crude for August delivery fell by 1.29%, settling at $75.46 per barrel. Meanwhile, its U.S. counterpart, West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery, decreased by 1.26% to $73.90 per barrel.

The Dutch TTF futures contract, which serves as the European benchmark for natural gas, rose by approximately 0.5% to €39.50 per megawatt-hour (MWh), after having briefly surpassed €40 during trading.
