North Gaza Has Not Received Any Food Supplies for Over 50 Days (WFP)

GAZA, December 5, 2024 (APS) – The northern region of the Gaza Strip has experienced a near-total halt in food supply deliveries for more than 50 days, warned Antoine Renard, director of the World Food Program (WFP) in the Palestinian territories. He emphasized that the level of destruction and famine observed in Gaza is “worse than ever.”

“People can no longer cope with the situation. Food products are scarcely being delivered, and the markets are empty,” he explained in a video shared on social media. “In November, nearly 815,000 individuals received food assistance from the WFP, which is barely half of those in need.”

According to WFP estimates, approximately 2.2 million people are suffering from food shortages in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The toll from the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 44,580 deaths and 105,739 injuries since October 7, 2023, according to Palestinian health authorities on Thursday.
