Iran: Trump’s Anti-Iran Rhetoric Is Sheer Deception That Whitewashes Zionist Aggression

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has strongly condemned U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent anti-Iran remarks, accusing him of distorting regional facts and turning a blind eye to Zionist aggression, particularly in Gaza. Araqchi’s response followed Trump’s appearance at a Saudi-U.S. investment forum in Riyadh, where he labeled Iran as the “most destructive force” in West Asia and blamed Tehran for instability across the region.
Speaking to reporters after a cabinet meeting in Tehran, Araqchi denounced Trump’s accusations as “sheer deception,” arguing that the U.S. president was deliberately misidentifying the true source of threat in the region. He emphasized that Trump’s rhetoric ignored the Zionist entity’s deadly actions, noting the regime’s responsibility for the deaths of 60,000 people in Gaza and its repeated attacks in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
Araqchi added that such efforts to portray Iran as a regional threat are part of a broader strategy to divert attention from the real source of conflict and instability. He dismissed Trump’s criticism of Iran’s regional role, affirming that Iran has chosen a path of independence and progress despite U.S. sanctions and threats, and vowed that Washington’s attempts to undermine Tehran would ultimately fail.
