French Farmers Block Highway Near Paris in Protest Against Government Agricultural Policies

French farmers, dissatisfied with the government’s agricultural policies, have taken to the streets to voice their frustrations. Protesters from the organization ‘Rural Coordination’ have blocked a major highway near Paris, specifically the N10 road at Le Perray-en-Yvelines, which leads to the Spanish border.

The demonstration, reported by BFMTV, involves eight tractors and around 20 farmers. The primary issue driving the protest is the influx of cheap Ukrainian grain flooding European markets, which has led to economic hardships for local farmers.

This surge in grain imports has been detrimental to European agricultural prices, further fueling the discontent among the farming community.
