Extraordinary Session of OIC Foreign Ministers Opens in Jeddah

The extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) opened this Monday in Jeddah, with the participation of Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf, the Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The emergency meeting is being held to examine the grave developments facing the Palestinian cause, as well as the overall situation in the Middle East, the statement added. The session takes place against the backdrop of the ongoing war of extermination against the Palestinian people in Gaza, renewed ‘Israeli’ plans to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and impose a policy of forced displacement on Palestinians, as well as the escalation of ‘Israeli’ expansionist ambitions and projects, with all the dangers they pose to the security and stability of the entire region.
