The Druzhba oil pipeline supply to Czechia has been unexpectedly cut off, as reported by the Novinky portal, citing the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukas Vlcek. The reasons for the sudden halt remain unclear.
“We are aware of this situation and are in contact with all relevant parties,” Minister Vlcek said, adding that efforts are underway to determine the cause of the interruption.
Previously, the Novinky portal had reported, with reference to the Minister of Industry and Trade, that Czechia had stopped receiving oil through the pipeline for unknown reasons. Druzhba is a key oil supply route for several countries in Central Europe, including Czechia, and any disruption in its service can have significant energy supply implications.
