At Least Four Killed in Terrorist Attack in Northwestern Pakistan

At least four people were killed in a terrorist attack against a vehicle in the Bannu district, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwest Pakistan, local media reported Wednesday.
Among the dead were two policemen and a government official from North Waziristan administration. Three others were wounded and hospitalized, according to the same sources.
Last Thursday, three policemen had been killed and two others wounded in an attack by militants on a checkpoint at the entrance of the city of Hangu, in the same province.
According to the Pakistani Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, 1,734 terrorists have been neutralized in Pakistan in the first ten months of this year, while 601 security-force members have been killed by terrorists.
