Algeria’s Arkab Meets with Italian Minister of Environment and Energy Security

The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, met on Wednesday in Rome with Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the Italian Minister of Environment and Energy Security. Their discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation within the energy sector.
Key topics included renewable energy initiatives, the production and transportation of green hydrogen, and the delivery of electrical energy to Europe via an undersea cable through Italy.
These talks occurred alongside the official visit of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Italian Republic, during which he led a substantial ministerial delegation and chaired the Algerian proceedings of the 5th session of the high-level Algeria-Italy intergovernmental summit.
This visit is particularly significant for reinforcing the historical friendship and advancing bilateral relations across various fields between the two nations.
