ALGIERS – Algerian Acting Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb received on Sunday the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Competition of the Republic of South Africa, Parks Tau, who is visiting Algeria as part of his country’s participation in the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the distinctive strategic nature of the friendship and cooperation between Algeria and South Africa, and to explore ways to further strengthen the bilateral partnership across various sectors, the statement said, adding that this reflects “the shared vision of the two countries’ leaders —the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his South African counterpart, Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa—particularly the outcomes of the state visit he made to Algeria in December 2024.”
