Algeria’s AAPI Receives Delegation from Qatari Company “Al Rayyan Agricultural”

ALGIERS — The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) received Tuesday a delegation from the Qatari company “Al Rayyan Agricultural,” led by the President of its Board of Directors, Abdullah Al Attiya, the agency said in a statement.

The meeting focused on exploring investment opportunities in Algeria, especially in agriculture, the same source said.

AAPI Director General Omar Rekkache welcomed the Qatari delegation. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss Algeria’s investment potential, “particularly in agriculture, with emphasis on strategic high-value-added products,” the statement noted.

The Qatari company officials expressed “strong interest in the Algerian market and genuine commitment to developing a major investment project that could back the State’s food security objectives while leveraging Qatar’s accumulated expertise and experience from its regional investments,” the statement concluded.
