Algeria Resolutely Continues Reform Process Despite Disruption Attempts, Assures President Tebboune

The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed on Tuesday the State’s unwavering determination to pursue its reform agenda, despite attempts to disrupt the process from both within and abroad.

In a speech delivered before both Houses of Parliament at the Palace of Nations in Club des Pins, the President of the Republic said: “As part of honoring my commitments, I have worked and will continue working with the same resolve to serve the noble Algerian people and defend the interests of the homeland,” underscoring that “neither difficulties nor disruptions from inside or outside will deter us from our goals.”

In this respect, he underscored the continued push for reforms across every front and sector concerned with implementing social development programs and addressing citizens’ basic needs, stressing that these reforms continue “to ensure effectiveness and transparency, and establish the rules of governance, by the people and for the people, while rooting out corruption.” He further reiterated that “the justice system will stand guard against all forms of corruption and failure to uphold professional duties and responsibilities, while protecting honest State officials and employees.” The President of the Republic also recalled the revision of the organic on the judiciary, which comes “in fulfillment of our commitments toward the sector’s personnel.”
