Zionist Occupation Displaces 26 West Bank Villages in 10 Months

The Palestinian Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission announced that on Friday, the Zionist occupation and settlers displaced residents of the “Umm al-Jamal” village located in the Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank. This displacement followed the confiscation of large areas of land and water springs in the village for the purpose of establishing a settlement outpost.

The Palestinian commission emphasized that over the past ten months, the Zionist occupation has displaced 26 Palestinian communities and villages throughout the West Bank. During this period, approximately 30 settlement outposts have been established, with plans to convert 70 of these outposts into fully recognized settlements. Additionally, they reported that settlers have set fire to 273 Palestinian sites and facilities in the West Bank within the same timeframe.

Furthermore, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called for decisive international action and urged the translation of resolutions rejecting settlement expansion into tangible measures, particularly in light of the escalating pace of settlement growth. They advocated for pressure to ensure the implementation of resolutions concerning the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its territory.

Settlement activities in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have significantly increased since the onset of the Zionist aggression against Gaza on October 7, 2023. Preliminary reports indicate that this aggression has resulted in the deaths of 40,005 individuals, the majority of whom are women and children, as well as 92,401 injuries.
