Zionist forces target southern Lebanon in another breach of ceasefire

The Zionist forces’ warplanes carried out an airstrike on Sunday, targeting Lebanon’s Ali al-Taher and al-Dabsheh forests on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa with a series of violent raids.
The attacking aircraft dropped a large number of high-explosive missiles, causing a tremendous explosion that reverberated in many areas relatively far from the raided area, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported.
“The enemy’s violent airstrikes targeting this area are the third in less than 3 months, with very strong similarity observed between the blast wave that occurred in the Beirut port explosion in 2020,” the agency said.
The raids caused material damage to several residential homes in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, shattering windows and causing cracks in homes and shops, NNA added.
It is noteworthy that a ceasefire was reached in November, but the Zionist forces have conducted near-daily attacks in southern Lebanon since then.
Under the truce, the occupation was supposed to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon by January, but it only partially pulled out troops, maintaining a military presence at five border outposts.
