Will Trump Receive the Nobel Prize ? Shocking Nomination by Ukrainian MP

Oleksandr Merezhko, a member of Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party and chair of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee, has nominated former U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Merezhko explained that his goal was to “attract Trump’s attention” to help Ukraine survive its ongoing war with Russia. In a letter to the Nobel Committee, Merezhko praised Trump’s efforts to broker peace during his presidency.

The nomination has drawn mixed reactions. While Merezhko emphasized Trump’s role in strengthening the international coalition supporting Ukraine, critics highlighted his previous positive relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his controversial stance on U.S. military aid to Ukraine. Some Ukrainian politicians also expressed concern that Trump’s call for a swift resolution to the war might pressure Ukraine to make territorial concessions.
