UN Expresses Grave Concern Over Ongoing Zionist Operation in Jenin

The United Nations has expressed deep concern over the ongoing military operation conducted by Zionist occupation forces in the occupied West Bank, particularly in the city of Jenin. UN spokesperson Farhan Haq stated that UN Secretary-General António Guterres is alarmed by the continuing violence in the region, with the large-scale military operation in Jenin reportedly leading to civilian casualties.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that approximately 2,000 families have been displaced from the refugee camp amid the ongoing clashes. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has also raised significant concerns regarding the safety of Palestinians in Jenin city and the refugee camp, which have been severely affected by the military operation.

Initial reports have indicated that airstrikes, heavy bulldozing operations, and covert military activities have resulted in numerous fatalities, including medical personnel, and left many others injured. Previous Zionist operations in the Jenin refugee camp have caused extensive damage to vital infrastructure, leading to widespread disruptions in essential services such as water, electricity, and waste management.

Earlier this month, the UN and its partners distributed bedding and blankets to the displaced people, but humanitarian workers have faced challenges in accessing the area safely and consistently, further compounding the dire situation on the ground.

As the situation continues to deteriorate, the United Nations and its agencies have called for immediate action to protect civilians and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need. The international community remains vigilant in its efforts to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Jenin and the broader Palestinian territories.
