Tunisia: State of Emergency Extended Until the End of 2025

TUNIS, January 31, 2025 – Tunisian President Kais Saied announced on Thursday the extension of the state of emergency in the country until the end of this year, as reported by the Tunisian Press Agency (TAP).
A presidential decree states that “the state of emergency is extended across the entire territory of Tunisia from January 31, 2025, until December 31, 2025,” according to TAP.
The most recent extension was issued on December 30, 2024, for a duration of one month, covering the period from January 1 to January 30, 2025.
