Trump taps Stephen Miran as chair of Council of Economic Advisers

WASHINGTON – President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday the nomination of Stephen Miran as the chair of his Council of Economic Advisers.

Miran, who previously served as an economic policy adviser at the U.S. Treasury Department during Donald Trump’s tenure, is set to return to a prominent role in the new administration.

The White House Council of Economic Advisers advises the president on economic policy. As such, Miran is expected to offer valuable insights into the president-elect’s economic strategy, including recommendations on monetary policy, fiscal matters, and broader economic issues affecting the nation.
