Third Session of Algerian-Slovenian Political Consultations

Lounès Magramane, the Secretary General of Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, co-chaired the third session of Algerian-Slovenian political consultations on Thursday in Algiers. He was joined by his Slovenian counterpart, Marko Stucin, State Secretary for European and Political Affairs, International Law, and the Protection of Interests, as noted in a ministry communiqué.
The primary objective of this meeting was to strengthen bilateral political dialogue. It provided an opportunity to assess the current state of relations between the two countries and explore avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including energy, mining, pharmaceuticals, higher education, scientific research, artificial intelligence, and space technologies. This effort continues the implementation of the joint declaration signed on August 30, 2024, in Ljubljana by the foreign ministers of both nations.
The discussions also addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern, such as developments in the Middle East and the Sahel, as well as the question of Western Sahara, the communiqué concluded.
