ALGIERS – The Algerian Muslim Scout (SMA) has been elected as member of the World Scout Committee, following the elections organized as part of the activities of the World Scout Conference, hosted from 17 to 23 August in Cairo (Egypt), according to a statement from the SMA.

According to the World Scoot Commitee official website, the event, the first in-person conference since 2017, provides a unique opportunity for scouts to reconnect, collaborate, exchange ideas, and strengthen unity.

The conference is held every three years, providing members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement with the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the standards, policies, and common goals of the scouting movement worldwide.
