Six Infants Freeze to Death in Gaza’s Tent Camps Amid Ongoing “Israeli” Aggression

The number of infants who have tragically died from the cold in Gaza’s makeshift tent camps has risen to six over the past week, according to a statement from the Gaza Media Office.
Ali al-Batran, a displaced infant living in a tent, succumbed to severe cold and lack of heating, while his twin brother, Jumaa al-Batran, who was in critical condition at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, also passed away due to the freezing temperatures on Sunday.
These deaths highlight the dire conditions faced by displaced Palestinians in Gaza, where basic necessities like clothing, bedding, and heating are in short supply. With temperatures dropping, many infants remain vulnerable in makeshift shelters after being displaced by ongoing Zionist aggression since October 7, 2023.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has worsened, with the UN reporting that nine out of ten people have been displaced, and more than 45,500 people have died in the ongoing aggression.
The Zionist blockade and airstrikes have left Gaza in ruins, pushing the population toward the brink of famine. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants against Zionist officials for war crimes in the territory, and “Israel” faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
