Putin and Trump to Hold Talks at US Military Base in Alaska

MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will meet at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage, Alaska, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed. The summit is set to begin with a private one-on-one discussion at 11:30 a.m. local time, followed by talks between delegations and a working breakfast.

According to Ushakov, the agenda will focus on three main topics. First, the leaders will address the Ukraine crisis, exploring possible pathways toward resolving the conflict and assessing its impact on US-Russia relations. Second, they will discuss global security issues, with an emphasis on maintaining international and regional peace and stability.

Finally, the talks will cover the state of bilateral relations, with both sides seeking to identify untapped opportunities for cooperation between Washington and Moscow. The meeting comes amid heightened global attention, as it marks a rare high-level encounter between the two leaders since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict.
