Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune congratulated the Algerian people on Wednesday evening on the occasion of the advent of the New Year 2026, affirming that the coming year will be a source of pride and radiance for all Algerians, thanks to the achievements accomplished and the sacrifices made in various fields, enabling Algeria to reach, in serenity, the status of an emerging country.
In a message addressed to the Algerian people, the President extended his best wishes for health and well-being to all citizens, and wished peace and prosperity to the homeland. He expressed hope that the new year would, God willing, further strengthen Algeria’s progress and standing, building on the efforts and sacrifices undertaken across different sectors.
President Tebboune reiterated his sincere greetings to all Algerians, both inside and outside the country, on the occasion of the New Year. He also expressed solidarity with the Algerian people’s brothers in occupied Palestine, voicing hope for an end to Zionist crimes against them and for a return to normal life in the West Bank, Gaza, and El-Qods.
Concluding his address, the President stressed that Algeria will remain free, proud, and sovereign, paying tribute to the nation’s martyrs. He ended his message by invoking peace and blessings upon the Algerian people.
