Ookla CEO Commends Mobilis for Leading Algeria’s Mobile Coverage in 2024

ALGIERS — CEO of Spanish network testing firm Ookla, Stephen By, applauded Algerian operator Mobilis for delivering the country’s top mobile coverage performance in 2024.

Speaking at a press conference at Mobilis headquarters, Bye noted that the company won the “Best Mobile Coverage in Algeria” award last March at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

He said that this was a “remarkable achievement” considering Algeria’s vast territorial expanse.

Bye affirmed that establishing such an extensive network represented “a major challenge,” haling on this occasion the cooperation between his company and “Mobilis.”
