
Algerian Samir Bouchireb ended up in the 29th position at the air pistol shooting events (10m) of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Saturday at the National Sports Shooting Center in the Indre department.
The only Algerian competing in the 10m air pistol shooting, Bouchireb (39 years old) did not manage to pass the qualification threshold, finishing in 29th place with a total of 563 points out of 33 participants in the competition, eight of them will advance to the finals scheduled for Sunday.
In canoe-kayak, Carole Diana Bouzidi will participate in the single-seater slalom qualifiers. The Algerian kayaker who aims to reach the finals, will be racing from 2:00 p.m. for the first round, while the second round will begin at 5:00 p.m. The 22 best times at the end of the two qualifying rounds will be qualified for the semi-finals.
The first day of the 2024 Olympics will also see the table tennis competition, where Mehdi Bouloussa faces the Croatian, Pucar Tomislav, for the 32nd finals of the men’s singles table from 6:45 p.m.
