Novo Nordisk Algeria will begin exporting modern insulin pens to Africa beginning this September, as per a press release issued by the company on Sunday.
“The production site of modern insulin pens of Novo Nordisk Algeria will export these pens to Africa starting from this September 2024,” the press release said.
According to the same source, the Director General of Novo Nordisk Algeria, Hamza Benharkat, underscored Novo Nordisk Algeria’s priority to “take advantage of its current manufacturing facilities to ensure a steady supply of innovative medicines for Algerian patients.”
He also reiterated the company’s commitment to “leverage all its production capacities.”
It should be noted that Novo Nordisk Algeria has two production sites, one in Tizi-Ouzou and the other in Boufarik, Blida.
