Army General Saïd Changriha receives AFRICOM Commander, General Michael Langley
The Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army, General Saïd Changriha, received, Monday, General Michael Langley, the Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM).
The Algerian Ministry of Defense stated that General Michael Langley, at the head of an important military delegation, is on a working visit to Algeria. During the meeting, the two parties tackled the security challenges facing the African continent.
The Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army, General Saïd Changriha, emphasized in his speech Algeria’s unrelenting efforts to strengthen the joint African endeavour to defeat and prevent terrorism. He added that Algeria has raised many initiatives to strengthen joint security cooperation mechanisms.
The Algerian Army General renewed his country’s commitment in backing every African initiative, as well as supporting the efforts of African Union bodies to meet the challenges it faces.
For his part, Commander of AFRICOM, General Michael Langley, expressed his satisfaction at the visit to Algeria, which gave him the opportunity to discuss with the senior leadership of the Algerian Army about various security issues on the international scene.
