Kuwait: Six Dead in the Sinking of an Iranian Boat (Media)

Six individuals, comprising both Iranian and Indian nationals, tragically lost their lives when an Iranian cargo vessel sank in Kuwait waters, as reported by the Iranian news agency Irna on Tuesday.

The vessel, identified as Arabakhtar I, went down on Sunday while carrying six crew members from India and Iran, according to Nasser Passandeh, the head of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization.

He noted that three bodies had been recovered, thanks to “coordinated” efforts between Iran and Kuwait.

Mr. Passandeh announced on Tuesday that search operations are still underway in Kuwait to locate “the remaining three bodies.”
