Kim Jong Un Chairs Military Meeting, Oversees Artillery Drills

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un chaired a military policy meeting and oversaw artillery drills this week, according to state media.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Friday that Kim led an expanded session of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea on Wednesday, focusing on strengthening the army’s capabilities.
He underscored the need to enhance the role of party organizations in implementing the central leadership’s directives and tackling all challenges related to military construction and operations.
Kim also supervised artillery training on Thursday, stating: “It is extremely important to conduct frequent live-fire exercises under real-war conditions to build a strong military force.”
