Iran Urges Regional Cooperation Against Zionist Expansionism in Syria

Ali Asghar Khaji, senior adviser to the Iranian foreign minister, has warned regional powers about the Zionist entity’s expansionist ambitions, particularly in Syria. Speaking during the 22nd round of Astana talks in Kazakhstan on Monday, Khaji emphasized the importance of a unified regional strategy to counter Zionist aggressive goals in Syria and beyond.
The Turkish delegation, led by senior negotiator Mustafa Yurdakul, expressed concern over the consequences of Zionist airstrikes in Syria, calling for an immediate end to the aggression. In a separate meeting, Khaji also met with Russia’s special envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, reaffirming Iran’s commitment to supporting peace initiatives in Syria. Lavrentiev highlighted the precarious situation in the region, stressing the dangers posed by Zionist ongoing military actions in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and Syria.
