Iran appoints new representative to OPEC

TEHRAN – Iran appointed oil ministry official Ali-Mohammad Mousavi as its new representative to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries known as OPEC, replacing Afshin Javan, the Oil Ministry’s SHANA news agency reported on Tuesday.

In his new post, Mousavi will also serve as Iran’s representative to the International Energy Forum (IEF) and Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
