Ibn Badis Association in Zurich Celebrates Algeria’s National Independence Day

ZURICH – In commemoration of Algeria’s National Independence Day, the Ibn Badis Association in Zurich, Switzerland, held the closing ceremony for the 2025 academic year, drawing a large audience including members of the Algerian community, students’ families, and individuals with an interest in cultural and educational matters.
The event included a variety of cultural and educational activities, among them the honoring of Quran memorizers, along with student performances expressing national belonging and pride in Algerian identity. The program also focused on strengthening the Arabic language among non-native-speaking children, as part of the association’s efforts to preserve cultural and national identity in the diaspora.
The association emphasized that this event is part of its ongoing efforts to instill noble values and foster a strong sense of national identity among children of the diaspora. It also aims to create an educational and cultural environment that responds to the needs of new generations within an open and multicultural society.
