Hajj : Algeria Wins “Labeitom” Gold Prize for 2nd Consecutive Year

ALGIERS – Algeria won, on Sunday in Mecca (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), for the second consecutive year, the “Labeitom” Gold Prize, awarded by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in recognition of the excellent services provided by the institutions to pilgrims, according to a statement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs.

 The “Labeitom” Gold Prize was received by Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, head of the Algerian Pilgrims Affairs Office, Youcef Belmehdi, from Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfik Ben Fawzan Al-Rabiah, during the closing

ceremony of the Hajj season 1446H/2025.

“This distinction is the result of collective work and rigorous coordination between the various sectors involved, both inside and outside the country,” he said.

He recalled, in this regard, the constant support provided to the Office by the country’s high authorities.

“This prize will encourage us to improve performance and develop work mechanisms to offer better services to pilgrims,” the minister added.

“The Office will continue its efforts to guarantee the best possible conditions and enable Algerian pilgrims to perform the rites peacefully,” he concluded.
