Guyana’s UN Representative Praises Algeria’s Leading Role on the Security Council

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Tuesday the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the State of Guyana to the United Nations in New York, Carolyn Rodriguez-Birkett, on the occasion of Algeria hosting the 12th edition of the High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, “Oran Process”.

According to a statement by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador expressed her great satisfaction with the close coordination and ongoing consultations between the two countries during their membership on the UN Security Council. She also praised Algeria’s distinguished and leading role on the Council, particularly for its success in activating and unifying the voice of the three African countries, in cooperation with her own country representing the Caribbean region, within the group currently known as the (+A3).
