ExxonMobil Expresses Will to Invest in Algeria

ALGIERS — The vice-president of American company ExxonMobil, in charge of international exploration, John Ardill, expressed Wednesday in Algiers the company’s will to advance rapidly in the investment project in Algeria.
In a statement to the press, upon leaving the audience that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, granted him, the American official said that “the meeting was excellent, and we hope to advance rapidly in this investment project which could contribute significantly to hydrocarbon production in Algeria.”
For the American official, the President of the Republic “demonstrated a detailed and thorough knowledge of investment opportunities, as well as Algeria’s great potential, particularly for collaboration between Sonatrach and ExxonMobil as part of the partnership.”
Ardill added that the meeting also covered environmental issues. “We discussed our progress in safe, low-emission production, which can increase oil, gas and energy output while also protecting the environment. Overall, we had a very productive discussion today,” he said.
President Tebboune “proposed solutions and we are profoundly grateful for this opportunity of cooperation,” he continued
